Last updated: November 2026
Rankability is a strong all-in-one SEO and AI visibility suite: a well-liked content optimizer, audits, rank tracking and daily AI tracking on 11 engines, with unlimited seats and workspaces from $97/month. It is a lot of tool for a single brand that only needs AI tracking. We build TrendlyAI, a competitor, so weigh that.
Key takeaways馃敆
- As of November 4, 2026, Rankability's plans are Starter ($97), Growth ($297) and Pro ($497) a month. The two upper plans were called Agency and Agency Pro a few days earlier.
-
Every plan includes the same 11 AI engines, daily AI tracking, unlimited client workspaces and team members, API and MCP access and branded reports.
-
Rankability now markets itself to businesses, marketing teams and agencies, not only agencies, and has a page for small businesses.
-
Its main strengths are engine coverage, the content optimizer, unlimited seats and the bundle of audits, Google rank tracking and AI tracking. At 100 or more AI queries, it is cheaper per query than most AI-only trackers.
-
Its weak points: no plan under $97, a card-required trial that converts automatically, weaker keyword research, and frequent pricing changes in 2026.
Rankability review: the short verdict馃敆
Rankability is worth it if you will use the content optimizer and audits every week, and it is good value for AI tracking alone once you need 100 or more queries across many engines. It is poor value if you track 25 prompts for one brand and never touch the SEO tools, because you pay $97 for a suite you will mostly leave unused.
| Rankability is a good buy if | Look elsewhere if |
|---|---|
| You optimize pages for clients or your own site every week | You only want to know whether AI engines name your brand |
| You need Gemini, AI Mode, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek or Meta AI | Four engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, AI Overviews) cover your buyers |
| You track 100 or more AI queries | You track 25 prompts or fewer |
| You want unlimited seats and workspaces at a fixed price | You want to try a tool without entering a card |
| You want API or MCP access on the entry plan | Your AI visibility budget is under $100 a month |
How we wrote this Rankability review馃敆
We build TrendlyAI, which competes with Rankability on AI visibility tracking, so read this with that in mind. I did not buy a Rankability account for this review. Everything below comes from Rankability's own pages and third-party reviews. We first checked them on November 1, 2026 and checked the pricing page and homepage again on November 4, 2026, when the plan names and positioning had changed. Each fact links to its source. Where sources disagree, I say so. Where Rankability is better than TrendlyAI, I say that too.
What is Rankability?馃敆
Rankability is an SEO and AI search visibility platform. It was founded in 2024 by Nathan Gotch (CEO, formerly of Gotch SEO) and Simon L. Smith (CTO), and is based in St. Louis, Missouri, per its company page.
It started as a content scorer, in the same space as Surfer and Clearscope, and has grown into a full campaign workflow. The About page describes a soft launch as a content scorer, AI content creation in 2025 and an end-to-end agency campaign workflow by 2026.
Positioning moved again in early November 2026. On November 1 the homepage called Rankability the "#1 AI Search Visibility & AEO Platform for Agencies." On November 4 the homepage title read "Turn AI search into your #1 salesperson," described the product as a platform "for businesses, marketing teams, and agencies," and linked separate pages for marketing teams, small businesses and agencies.
What does Rankability do?馃敆
Rankability covers most of a content and SEO team's work in one place. The homepage lists these modules (Rankability homepage):
- Track: Google rankings and AI search visibility in one view.
-
Research: topics and keywords for campaigns.
-
Create and Optimize: content drafts and a content optimizer that scores pages, with breakdowns by heading.
-
Audit: page audits and technical site audits.
-
Promote: backlink analysis and prospect finding.
-
Serena: an AI advisor that turns client data into priorities.
-
Automate, API and MCP: recurring tasks and connections to other tools and AI assistants.
The AI tracking side, which Rankability calls the AI Analyzer, covers mentions and citations, sentiment, competitor comparisons, scheduled scans, shareable client reports with access controls and an "AI Search Performance Score," per the AI Analyzer page. It lists 11 engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Copilot, Brave AI, DeepSeek and Meta AI.
How much does Rankability cost?馃敆
Rankability costs $97, $297 or $497 a month as of November 4, 2026, per its pricing page. Yearly billing is ten times the monthly price, which the page describes as two months free.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Tracked AI queries | Content projects/mo | Google keywords |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97 | $970 | 100 | 20 | 50 |
| Growth (was Agency) | $297 | $2,970 | 300 | 80 | 150 |
| Pro (was Agency Pro) | $497 | $4,970 | 500 | 160 | 250 |
What the pricing page now states on every plan:
- AI tracking: the same 11 platforms on every paid tier, with "daily monitoring across your selected included AI platforms."
-
Shared allowances: tracked AI queries, Google keywords and local scans are shared across all your workspaces. Unlimited workspaces does not mean unlimited usage.
-
Google tracking: weekly ranking updates, up to the top 30 results, where each keyword, location and language combination uses its own slot. Monthly check allowances are 250, 750 and 1,250.
-
Local Pack scans: 10, 30 and 50 a month, where one scan covers one keyword on a grid of up to 5 by 5 points.
-
Coaching: annual Pro plans include weekly group coaching with Nathan Gotch.
-
Trial: 7 days, card required, limited usage, and the monthly plan you picked starts automatically at its listed price unless you cancel.

What does Rankability cost at 25 and 100 AI queries?馃敆
Rankability's price is fixed by plan, so its value depends on how many AI queries you track. Here is the monthly cost at two common sizes next to AI-only trackers, using each vendor's pricing page on November 4, 2026.
25 prompts for one brand:
| Tool | Plan and monthly cost | Engines | Cadence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rankability | Starter, $97 (100 queries, 75 unused) | 11 | Daily |
| TrendlyAI | Solo, $19 | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, AI Overviews | Weekly |
| Peec AI | Starter, $95 (50 prompts) | 3 of your choice | Daily |
| Otterly.AI | Standard, $189 (Lite has only 15 prompts) | 4 base, Claude extra | Daily |
100 prompts for one brand:
| Tool | Plan and monthly cost | Engines | Cadence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rankability | Starter, $97 | 11 | Daily |
| Otterly.AI | Standard, $189; $298 with Claude | 4 base plus add-ons | Daily |
| Peec AI | Pro, $245 (150 prompts) | 3 of your choice | Daily |
| TrendlyAI | Not a fit: 25 prompts per brand | 4 | Weekly |
At 100 queries Rankability is the cheapest option in this table, and it includes the SEO suite. That is a real point in its favor. One question the pricing page does not answer is whether running a query on all 11 engines uses more of the allowance than running it on one, so ask during the trial. Competitor prices come from Peec AI, Otterly.AI and TrendlyAI.
What does Rankability do well?馃敆
Rankability's strengths are real, and several of them beat what TrendlyAI offers.
1. Engine coverage. Eleven AI engines is more than most AI visibility trackers list, and far more than TrendlyAI's four. The list includes Brave AI, DeepSeek and Meta AI. If a client's buyers use Gemini, Copilot or Grok, Rankability can see those answers.
2. Daily AI tracking at a fixed price. The pricing page now states daily monitoring on every plan. That is roughly 30 samples per query per month, against about 4 for a weekly tracker, which gives a steadier trend line.
3. The content optimizer. This is the feature users praise most. G2 reviewers say they use the optimizer "90% of the time," per the G2 listing, and Ryan Doser's October 2026 review calls it "the strongest thing Rankability does." Doser is an affiliate who disclosed free access, so treat his view as informed but not neutral.
4. Unlimited seats and workspaces. Every plan, even the $97 Starter, includes unlimited client workspaces and team members. Most tools in this category charge per seat, per brand or per project.
5. One tool for content, audits and AI visibility. Page audits, technical site audits, Google keywords and Local Pack scans sit in the same workspace as AI tracking, so a client can see Google rankings and AI mentions in one branded report. API and MCP access come on every plan.
The public reviews are positive but few. G2 showed a 5.0 rating from about 18 reviews when we checked on November 1 (G2), which is a small sample.
What are Rankability's weak points?馃敆
Rankability's weak points come mostly from its price floor, plus a few product gaps reported by reviewers.
- No plan under $97. The new small-business messaging does not come with a smaller plan. A single business tracking 25 prompts pays the same as one tracking 100.
-
A card-required trial that converts. The trial needs a card, has limited usage, and rolls into the paid plan after 7 days unless you cancel. Ryan Doser's October 2026 review said there was no trial at that time, so the terms keep shifting.
-
Weaker keyword research. Doser rates keyword research as the weakest module and lists no backlink index, browser-only access and documentation that lags product updates as cons (Ryan Doser).
-
Light on next steps in AI visibility. Competitor Wellows writes that Rankability "can show you where you stand in AI answers, but it's light on what to do next" (Wellows). Wellows sells a rival product, so weigh that the same way you weigh this review.
-
Pricing and names keep moving. Plans went from Core, Scale and Advanced ($99, $299, $799) in August 2026 to one $497 demo-only plan in September, to Starter, Agency and Agency Pro on October 7 (per Doser), and to Starter, Growth and Pro by November 4.
-
A few details are still unstated. The pricing page does not say how the AI query allowance counts across engines, or which countries and languages AI tracking supports. Rankability itself describes "a newer feature set" where "some capabilities were still developing" in its comparison with Surfer.
What should you test in the Rankability trial?馃敆
Because the trial needs a card and converts after 7 days, plan the week before you start. Set a cancel reminder for day 6.
-
Load your real prompts on day 1. Use the same 20 to 25 prompts you would track long term, not demo prompts.
-
Check the allowance math. Add one query on all 11 engines and see how much of your 100 it uses.
-
Read the raw answers. Open a few Claude, Perplexity and AI Overviews answers and check that the brand mentions match what you see when you ask those engines yourself.
-
Test a market outside the US. If you sell in Canada, Australia or the UK, see whether you can set the country and language for AI queries.
-
Run the content optimizer on one live page. If you will not use it weekly, most of the $97 goes to features you do not need.
-
Export a branded report. Check the layout a client would see.
How does Rankability compare with TrendlyAI?馃敆
Rankability does far more than TrendlyAI. We build TrendlyAI, so weigh that. TrendlyAI tracks 4 engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews) on weekly scans with 25 prompts per brand, and has no content optimizer, audits or Google rank tracking.
| Rankability | TrendlyAI | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | $97/mo | $19/mo |
| AI engines | 11 | 4 |
| AI tracking cadence | Daily | Weekly, 1 sample per prompt |
| AI queries at entry | 100, shared across workspaces | 25 per brand |
| SEO tools | Content optimizer, audits, Google rank tracking, local scans | None |
| Help acting on gaps | Content optimizer and Serena advisor | A drafted fix per gap (FAQ page with schema, llms.txt, comparison page, Reddit answer) |
| Reports | Branded reports on every plan | White-label PDF reports on every plan |
| Country and language | Not stated for AI tracking | Set per brand |
| Trial | 7 days, card required | 7 days, no card; free check with no signup |
TrendlyAI is also a young product from a small team with few public reviews and no prompt-volume data. It tracks its own domain and publishes its own score, which is low. The full side-by-side is in TrendlyAI vs Rankability, and other options are in Rankability alternatives and best AI visibility tools for agencies. If you are weighing Rankability against other content tools, see Surfer AI Tracker alternatives. For the wider topic, start at the GEO hub.
If you want to see where a brand stands before you buy anything, the free AI visibility check runs 5 prompts on ChatGPT and Perplexity in about 30 seconds, with no signup.
Frequently asked questions馃敆
Is Rankability legit?馃敆
Yes. Rankability Inc. was founded in 2024 by Nathan Gotch and Simon L. Smith and is based in St. Louis, Missouri. It has a public pricing page, a G2 listing with a 5.0 rating from about 18 reviews, and named agency customers.
How much is Rankability per month?馃敆
As of November 4, 2026, Starter is $97, Growth is $297 and Pro is $497 a month, or $970, $2,970 and $4,970 a year. Each includes 11 AI engines with daily tracking, unlimited workspaces and team members, and API and MCP access. The trial is 7 days and needs a card.
Is Rankability good for AI visibility tracking?馃敆
Yes, on coverage and cadence. It tracks 11 engines daily with mentions, citations, sentiment and competitors, and at 100 queries it costs less than most AI-only trackers. Reviewers praise its content optimizer more than its tracker, and one competitor says it is light on next steps.
Is Rankability worth it for a small business?馃敆
Only if you will use the SEO tools. Rankability now markets to small businesses, but the cheapest plan is still $97 a month with a card-required trial. A small business tracking 25 prompts or fewer will often get more from a tool priced for one brand.
Who founded Rankability?馃敆
Nathan Gotch (Co-Founder and CEO, formerly of Gotch SEO) and Simon L. Smith (Co-Founder and CTO) founded Rankability in 2024. Nate Matherson, who is sometimes named in error, co-founded Positional, a different SEO content tool (Positional team).
What is Rankability's best feature?馃敆
Its content optimizer, based on reviews. G2 reviewers say they use it "90% of the time," and Ryan Doser calls it the strongest thing Rankability does.
