Last updated: November 2026
Ecommerce brands need two kinds of AI tracking: brand-level (is your store named for "best X for Y" prompts?) and product-level (which products and merchants does ChatGPT recommend?). TrendlyAI ($19/mo) covers brand-level tracking. Peec AI ($95/mo) adds SKU-level product tracking on every plan, and LLM Pulse and Profound offer ChatGPT Shopping tracking on higher tiers.
Key takeaways馃敆
- Shoppers ask AI assistants "best X for Y", "X vs Y" and "is X worth it" questions. Track those, not just your brand name.
-
Product-level tracking is a separate feature. As of October 2026, Peec AI includes catalog upload and SKU-level tracking on all plans; LLM Pulse includes ChatGPT Shopping from its $350/mo Scale plan; Profound includes it on Enterprise only.
-
Google AI Overviews matter for product searches, and most tools here track them.
-
Your fixes are content fixes: buying guides, fair comparison pages, product schema and third-party reviews.
-
We build TrendlyAI, so weigh that. Every competitor detail below was checked on the vendor's own site in October 2026.
What do ecommerce brands need to track in AI search?馃敆
Ecommerce brands need to track whether AI assistants name their store or products when a shopper asks for a recommendation, and which competing brands and merchants get named instead. The audience is large: OpenAI says ChatGPT alone has 1.2 billion weekly users.
Three kinds of prompts matter most for stores:
-
Product discovery prompts. "Best running shoes for flat feet under $150." "Best gift for a coffee lover." These build the shopper's shortlist.
-
Comparison prompts. "Hoka vs Brooks for long runs." The shopper knows the names and wants a decision.
-
Trust prompts. "Is [brand] legit?" or "Is [product] worth it?" Answers here often draw on reviews, Reddit and press.
There are also two places the answer can show up. One is the written answer, where the assistant names brands. The other is a product result: LLM Pulse, for example, describes capturing "every product ChatGPT recommends, including title, price, rating, merchant" for each prompt. A brand-level tool tells you if your name appears in the text. A product-level tool tells you which items and merchants show up. Our post on ecommerce AI search visibility explains why many product pages get skipped.

1. TrendlyAI: for stores that want brand tracking plus fix drafts馃敆
We build TrendlyAI, so weigh that. TrendlyAI shows whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews name your brand or your competitors when shoppers ask, and flags the prompts where a competitor is recommended and you are not. It then drafts a fix: a comparison page, an FAQ page with schema, a Reddit answer, an llms.txt file, a best-of list or a product page rewrite. The product page rewrite is the one most stores use first, since many product pages are written for checkout, not for answering questions.
Solo is $19/mo ($16/mo billed yearly) for 1 brand, 25 prompts, 2 competitors and 10 fix drafts a month. Pro is $49/mo ($39/mo yearly) for 3 brands, 5 competitors each and unlimited fix drafts.
The weak points matter more for ecommerce than for most categories. TrendlyAI tracks brand mentions in answers, with no product catalog upload, SKU-level tracking or shopping result tracking. It covers only 4 engines (no Gemini, Grok, Copilot or Google AI Mode). It scans weekly with 1 sample per prompt per engine, so it will not catch short-lived changes during a sale. It has no prompt-volume data, few public reviews and a small team. TrendlyAI tracks its own domain, and I publish our score, which is low. There is a 7-day free trial with no credit card, and no free plan.
2. Peec AI: for product-level tracking on a mid-size budget馃敆
Peec AI is the clearest pick if you want product-level data without an enterprise contract. Its pricing page lists "AI Shopping" features on every plan, including a product catalog "fetched from Shopify, or uploaded as a CSV", SKU-level tracking of visibility, position and win rate per product, top merchants and shopping query fan-outs. Starter is $95/mo for 50 prompts, 1 project, 1 country and daily tracking, with 3 active models at a time. Pro is $245/mo for 150 prompts and 3 countries, which helps if you sell in the US and Canada. Our Peec AI alternative post covers its tradeoffs.
3. LLM Pulse: for ChatGPT Shopping data at a mid-market price馃敆
LLM Pulse says its ChatGPT Shopping feature captures every product ChatGPT recommends, with title, price, rating, merchant, domain and link, tied to the prompt that triggered it. That feature starts on the Scale plan, listed at $350/mo for 450 prompts and 5 projects, with a 14-day free trial. Its Starter plan ($58/mo, 50 prompts) covers brand tracking on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews, but not ChatGPT Shopping. Plans track weekly.
4. Otterly.AI: for daily brand checks on a small budget馃敆
Otterly's Lite plan is $29/mo for 15 prompts with daily tracking on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. Its pricing page does not list product or shopping tracking, so treat it as a brand-level tool. Fifteen prompts covers a small catalog with one or two hero categories. Standard is $189/mo for 100 prompts. See our Otterly alternative post.
5. Rank Prompt: for the widest engine list at a low price馃敆
Rank Prompt tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode/AI Overviews, Claude, Gemini and Grok on every plan. Starter is $49/mo ($39/mo billed yearly) for 150 credits and 1 brand, as of November 2026. One prompt on 1 to 3 engines costs 1 credit, and on 4 to 6 engines costs 2. Its pricing page does not list product-level or shopping tracking. There is a free plan with 10 credits.
6. Profound: for large retailers with an enterprise budget馃敆
Profound has no public self-serve price. Its pricing page lists ChatGPT Shopping on Enterprise only, and says the free 7-day trial (50 prompts tracked daily on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews) does not include it. Enterprise tracks up to 9 engines. It suits large retailers with a procurement process.
Why do Google AI Overviews matter for product searches?馃敆
Google AI Overviews matter for ecommerce because they appear on Google search results and summarize options before the shopper reaches any store. A store that ranks in classic results can still be left out of the overview. TrendlyAI, Peec AI, LLM Pulse, Otterly and Profound all track Google AI Overviews. If Google AI Mode matters to you as well, note that TrendlyAI does not track it; Peec AI, LLM Pulse and Rank Prompt list it, and Otterly sells it as an add-on.
What tends to help in AI Overviews is the same thing that helps elsewhere: pages that answer the question directly, with structure Google can read. Our guide to Google AI Overviews optimization covers the details.
How should an ecommerce brand set up its prompts?馃敆
An ecommerce brand should build its prompts from how shoppers describe a need, not from product names. Start with 20 to 25 prompts:
- 10 to 12 discovery prompts for your top categories, each with a buyer detail: use, budget, size, skill level or recipient. "Best carry-on backpack for a one-week trip."
-
5 to 6 comparison prompts with your brand against the two or three brands you lose sales to.
-
3 to 4 trust prompts. "Is [your brand] good quality?" and "[your brand] reviews."
-
2 to 3 gift or seasonal prompts if those drive your revenue.
Pick competitors you actually lose to, including marketplaces if shoppers buy the same item there. The useful signal is the prompts where a competitor is named and you are not. Our guide to competitor AI visibility analysis explains how to read that data.
What fixes help ecommerce brands get recommended?馃敆
The fixes that help most are the ones that give AI engines a clear, quotable answer and outside proof:
- Buying guides for each main category, with a comparison table and "best for" picks.
-
Fair comparison pages that include competitor products and honest tradeoffs.
-
Product page rewrites that answer real questions (fit, use, care, who it is for) instead of listing features only.
-
Product, Review and FAQ schema. See our guide to schema markup for AI citations.
-
Reviews and community proof. Review platforms and Reddit threads often feed product answers.
Track the same prompts for several weeks after each change. Answers vary between runs, so one scan is not proof that a fix worked. More guides are on the GEO hub.

Frequently asked questions馃敆
Which AI visibility tools track ChatGPT Shopping results?馃敆
As of October 2026, LLM Pulse lists ChatGPT Shopping tracking on its Scale plan ($350/mo) and above, and Profound lists it on Enterprise only. Peec AI lists SKU-level product tracking and shopping features on all plans, starting at $95/mo.
Does TrendlyAI track products or SKUs?馃敆
No. TrendlyAI tracks whether your brand and your competitors are named in answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. It does not track individual products, SKUs or shopping results.
What prompts should an online store track in AI search?馃敆
Track discovery prompts ("best X for Y"), comparison prompts ("brand A vs brand B") and trust prompts ("is brand X legit?"). Add gift or seasonal prompts if they drive your sales.
Do Shopify stores need a special AI visibility tool?馃敆
Not necessarily. Any brand-level tool works for a Shopify store. If you want product-level data, Peec AI says it can fetch your product catalog from Shopify or take a CSV upload.
How often should an ecommerce brand check AI visibility?馃敆
Weekly is enough for most stores to see whether content changes are working. Daily tracking helps larger brands during big sales or launches, when they want to catch changes quickly.
